What is Dancing on the Clouds?

It is a low-lying cloud effect created with dry ice and hot water. The cloud is designed to stay close to the floor, so your first dance looks as though it is taking place on a bed of cloud.

Is the cloud effect the same as a smoke machine?

No. A smoke or haze machine fills a room with airborne smoke. Dancing on the Clouds uses chilled dry ice fog that is heavier than air and is intended to remain near the dance floor rather than filling the venue.

Will the cloud rise and block photographs?

The effect is designed to remain low. Actual behaviour can still be influenced by airflow, air conditioning, open doors and venue conditions, so we assess the room and plan the timing with your photographer and videographer.

Can Dancing on the Clouds be used indoors?

It is most commonly used indoors on a hard dance floor. Suitability depends on the venue, ventilation and floor surface, and the venue's permission may be required.

What are Indoor Cold Sparks?

Cold spark machines produce a controlled fountain-style spark effect from a granulate designed for indoor use, without a traditional flame.

Are Cold Sparks the same as fireworks?

No — they are not traditional pyrotechnic fireworks. They remain a controlled special effect that requires correct operation, adequate clearance and the venue's approval.

Will the venue need to approve the effects?

Yes, in most cases. We do not assume approval at any venue. We are happy to speak to your venue or coordinator directly, and a site assessment may be required.

At which wedding moments can Cold Sparks be used?

Typically the grand entrance, the first dance, the cake cutting or a celebration moment later in the programme — subject to venue approval and the available space.

How much setup time is required?

Setup requirements depend on the effect, the venue and access to the room. We confirm the exact setup window with you and the venue once the details are known.

Which areas do you serve?

Gqeberha, Jeffreys Bay and the wider Eastern Cape, the Greater Garden Route and selected Western Cape destinations. Travel and delivery costs may apply depending on the venue and location.

How early should we book?

As early as you can. Popular Saturdays during wedding season fill up first, and booking early gives us time to plan timing and venue requirements properly.

Yes. Jacques has worked as a wedding DJ and MC for 35 years, so we are comfortable coordinating cues, announcements and timing with whichever DJ, MC and photographer you have booked.
