The Effect
What are cold sparks?
Cold spark machines (often called "Sparkulars") use a granulated metal composite that's heated electrically — not gunpowder pyrotechnics. The result is a soaring fountain of bright sparks that's cool enough to touch within centimetres, with no open flame, no smoke and no UV. That makes them safe for indoor venues, near guests, attire and décor.
They are the most-requested upgrade for entrances, first dances and key reveal moments at luxury weddings, matric dances and corporate events across Port Elizabeth and the Eastern Cape.

CE & RoHS Certified Equipment
Cloud Nine Effects uses professional cold spark machines that are CE and RoHS certified, meeting the European product and materials standards those marks cover. Certification applies to the equipment itself — it does not override a venue's own rules, and it does not mean a venue must allow the effect. Venue rules and written approval still apply, and we plan every effect with your venue, with a clear safety area and an operator present throughout.
Cloud Nine Effects provides cold sparks as a professionally operated event-effects service and does not hire the machines out on their own for self-operation.
Venue safety documentation is available on request — ask us via WhatsApp or email and we will send the cold sparks safety pack to your coordinator.
